Privacy notice

How we use the information you give us.

Last updated 3 November 2026.

Who we are

Kindred Tax is a UK tax practice, a trading name of Karen, sole trader, of Alva House, Valley Drive, Gravesend, Kent, DA12 5UE. Karen is the controller of personal information collected through this website. This notice explains how we use personal information you give us through this website. You can contact us at [email protected].

What we collect

When you use the contact form or email us, we receive the details you choose to give us: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the service you are interested in, and your message. Our hosting and security providers also process technical data such as your IP address so the site can load and be protected.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

  • To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask for one, send a quote: taking steps at your request before a contract, or otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
  • To keep the site secure and working. This is our legitimate interest.
  • To meet legal and professional obligations if you become a client. We give clients a separate notice when they instruct us.

We do not use your enquiry for marketing, we do not sell your information, and we do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

What not to put in the form

Please do not include National Insurance numbers, UTRs, bank details or anything sensitive in the contact form or an email. We will tell you how to send those securely once you become a client.

Who we share it with

We use Cloudflare, Inc. (website delivery, security and email routing), Google (email) and Hostinger (website hosting) to run this website and receive enquiries. They process information on our behalf and only for those purposes. Some of them may process information outside the UK, including in the United States, under approved safeguards; details are available on request. We share information with others only where the law requires it, or with your permission.

Giving us your details is voluntary, but we cannot reply without at least a name and an email address.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. If you become a client, we keep records for the period professional and legal obligations require.

Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).
