Self Assessment, sorted Deadlines, tracked
We prepare and file your return accurately and on time, at a fixed fee, with a senior adviser dealing with you throughout.
Overview
A tax return should be a routine job, not a yearly worry. We gather what we need, check it carefully, claim the reliefs you are entitled to, based on the information you give us, and file on time. You see the figures before anything is sent, and the fee is fixed from the start.
Who it’s for
- Sole traders and the self-employed
- Landlords with rental income
- Employees with extra income, gains or expenses to report

- Anyone HMRC has asked to file a return
What we do
- Check whether you need to file: We confirm your position with HMRC so you file only what is required.
- Prepare your return: We work from your records and complete every section accurately.
- Claim what you are owed: Allowable expenses, reliefs and allowances are identified and claimed properly.
- Explain the figures: You see the tax calculation and understand it before we file.
- File with HMRC: As your tax agent, we submit your return and confirm it was received.
- Plan the payment: We tell you what is due and when, including any payments on account.

Self Assessment questions
Do I need to file a Self Assessment return?
You may need to if you are self-employed, a company director, a landlord, or have untaxed income or gains. HMRC's rules depend on your circumstances, so if you are unsure we will check and tell you plainly whether a return is required.
What are the Self Assessment deadlines?
If you are new to Self Assessment, you should normally register by 5 October after the end of the tax year. Paper returns are due by 31 October and online returns by 31 January, which is also when any balance is due. Late filing and late payment can bring penalties.
What if I have already missed a deadline?
Tell us as soon as you can. Penalties and interest can build the longer a return is outstanding, but filing late is almost always better than not filing. We will prepare the return, explain what is owed and discuss any reasonable excuse that may apply.
What do you need from me?
Typically your income records, business expenses if you are self-employed, bank interest, dividend and pension details, and any letters from HMRC. Once you instruct us, we send a clear checklist so you gather only what is relevant to your return.
